Ep 61: The Introvert Print Project with AnnMarie Roth
Friday Apr 11, 2014
Friday Apr 11, 2014
If you're anything like me and love new tools that raise your self-awareness, this podcast is for you!
I’ve always been fascinated by any tool or resource that tells me more about myself. When it came to browsing magazines in my teens, I’d often skip the articles and go straight for the quizzes that were supposed to tell me what my ideal job was, or what my musical tastes said about me. Now I have enough self-awareness not to rely on tabloid quizzes, but I still love learning about new paths of personal exploration.
My
guest today has introduced me to just such a new path. AnnMarie Roth is a
healer, life purpose mentor, and quietly passionate introvert. As owner of
Nourish Your Purpose, she provides custom healing programs that serve women
online or at her healing center in Brandon, VT. She is also a Professional Hand
Analyst and founder of The Introvert Print Project, which will be the focus of
our conversation today.
You can learn about the Introvert Print Project at www.introvertprints.com. Be sure to listen all the way to the end to hear about a special offer for listeners of The Introvert Entrepreneur podcast, good through April 22, 2014.

Ep60: An Introvert-Friendly Approach to Networking with Sandy Jones-Kaminski
Friday Feb 21, 2014
Friday Feb 21, 2014
When an introvert thinks about networking, dread is often – but not always – the first emotion that comes to the surface. Yet networking is an important social activity, whether we own our own business or work for someone else. Since we have to do it anyway, how can we make it easier and more enjoyable? My interview with networking expert Sandy Jones-Kaminski helps us to redefine networking into an activity that’s ultimately satisfying and even energizing. And if following her advice also leads you to more business, so much the better.
Together we talk about
• how a pay-it-forward attitude can be applied to networking
• the process of building social karma
• how to spot every day opportunities to practice our small talk (also known as “get more bang for your buck when you go through the drive-through at the coffee shop”)
• why exchanging resources is more important than exchanging business cards
Sandy Jones-Kaminski has more than 20 years of experience as a communications and business development professional. She is a networking and LinkedIn expert, Inc.com #1 Business Book Wish List author, bylined columnist, keynote speaker and self-described “connector.” Her book is titled, “I’m at a Networking Event: Now What???: A Guide to Getting the Most Out of Any Networking Event.”

Ep59: Building an Extroverted Brand, Introvert Style: A Conversation with Tony Hsieh
Thursday Feb 06, 2014
Thursday Feb 06, 2014
In this first episode of 2014, I'm pleased to welcome Zappos.com CEO, "Delivering Happiness" author, and introvert entrepreneur Tony Hsieh to the podcast. We cover a range of topics, from how he handles his role as a very public leader to how his style meshes with the more extroverted culture (it's been called "zany" and "the whackiest," and encourages chance encounters to stimulate connection) of Zappos. We also touch on the new holacratic organizational structure that Zappos is adopting, and what motivates Tony to continue his investment in people and community.
Be sure to listen all the way to the end, when I announce just a few of the fabulous guests yet to come in 2014!
Dedication: This podcast is dedicated to Francis Vijay,
a podcast fan and loyal member of The Introvert Entrepreneur Facebook
Community. He sent me a message a week or so ago, requesting new
podcasts (it's been a little while since the last one!). So Francis,
this one's for you!
(Audio Correction: While I say at the start that this is episode 58, it's actually 59!)

Effective Leadership, Introvert Style: A Conversation with Jim Hessler
Tuesday Sep 24, 2013
Tuesday Sep 24, 2013
Much has been written over the past few years about introverts and leadership. While the conversation has been rich and informative, there is still progress to be made when it comes to introverts being seen as leaders... even among introverts themselves.
In this edition of The Introvert Entrepreneur Podcast, I speak with leadership development consultant Jim Hessler. We talk about three strengths that can increase an introvert's leadership effectiveness, the role of suffering in finding your true career path, and why introverts might have an edge when it comes to sales.
Jim Hessler is founder of Path Forward Leadership Development and the co-host of the popular podcast “The Boss Show.” Jim has spent the last 11 years as a leadership educator and facilitator after a long career as a business manager specializing in turning around underperforming business operations. Jim is also the co-author of the book “Land On Your Feet, Not On Your Face.”

Some people are able to say what everyone wishes they could say. My guest today, Sophia Dembling, is one of those people. She's the author of the recently published, "The Introvert's Way: Living a Quiet Life in a Noisy World."
Our conversation includes tips on self-promotion based on her experiences as a writer, what she's learned from writing "The Introvert's Way," and why people who don't realize you're an introvert might think you're a b-i-t-c-h!
In addition to “The Introvert’s Way,” Sophia is author of "The Yankee Chick's Survival Guide to Texas" and co-author of "The Making of Dr. Phil: The Straight-Talking True Story of Everyone's Favorite Therapist" and "I Can Still Laugh: Stories of Inspiration and Hope from Individuals Living with Alzheimer's."
Her essays and articles have appeared in newspapers and magazines nationwide as well as in such anthologies as "Cat Women: Female Writers and their Feline Friends" and "P.S.: What I Didn't Say." She also writes a popular blog for PsychologyToday.com, The Introvert's Corner.
Her next book, "100 Places in the USA Every Woman Should Go," will be available in September 2013.
